Tulsi - also known as Holy Basil
Adaptogenic and luminous sacred plants

Adaptogenic sacred plants, full of light

Many of the plants studied by modern scientific research and classified as adaptogenic have been used for centuries in Ayurvedic teaching as Rasayanas – Ayurvedic anti-ageing. Followers of Ayurveda have always regarded the plants holistically; their ingredients, but also their energy and their vibrations. Adaptogens are also considered highly significant in traditional Chinese medicine.

This is the definition from the perspective of modern science: adaptogens improve resistance to a wide range of stressors. They normalise physical responses despite previous stress-induced changes in the body. They can do no harm.

Sacred plants

Our sacred plants grow in particularly energy-rich potent places in the sun-drenched Himalayas. We gather our six holy herbs lovingly by hand for our tea, the recipe for which extends back to an ancient Ayurvedic tradition. Our plants are harvested purely by hand, sorted and selected by hand, then, finally, carefully dried to preserve their body-spirit-soul: sacred plants. Ayurvedic and Tibetan science perceives and describes the elemental power of plants holistically, as medicinal plant energetics.

How to Enjoy

How to Enjoy

The best way to prepare this tea is using the traditional method in a teapot. This allows the essential components of the precious, hand-picked tea blossoms and leaves to fully unfold. The tea, with its delicate aroma, has a golden-yellow color. Due to the unique blend, the taste experience is constantly evolving.

Use 2 heaping teaspoons for a pre-warmed pot with approximately 750 ml and pour boiling water over it. Let the tea steep for 5 to 7 minutes, then strain and pour into a cup.

Questions & Answers

“Plants can work absolute wonders.”

Margot Esser, Firmengründerin

Good to know

For centuries, humans have sought solutions for longevity, youthful freshness and rejuvenation. Many years ago, scientists in the Soviet Union were engaged in finding plants that produce stamina, energy, condition and mental strength in humans.

They found plants that should be called adaptogens. These adaptogenic plants have a demonstrably measurable effect on the immune system, on stress, sleep, vitality and condition. In 1947, the Soviet doctor and scientist Nikolai V. Lazarev was the first to coin the word adaptogenic. Adaptogens can form a valuable part of our healthy lifestyles.
