PapayaVera® Seeds from Sri Lanka – traditionally processed & natural

The small black-brown seeds come from a traditional papaya variety (Carica papaya) that grows naturally in the interior of Sri Lanka. In this region, papaya seeds have long been part of local dietary traditions.

Experienced small-scale farmers harvest the papayas at their optimal ripeness. The seeds are then carefully removed from the fruit by hand and gently dried under the Sri Lankan sun.

This traditional processing preserves the original quality of the seeds and makes them a natural product with a characteristic flavor.

In many regions of Asia, papaya seeds are traditionally used as part of the diet. They have been known for generations and are widely used due to their spicy, peppery taste.

Our papaya seeds come from sustainable cultivation and are left in their natural form without industrial processing.
