Ecological biodiverse cultivationThe moringa tree (Moringa oleifera) grows in the sunny regions of Ecuador's Pacific coast. There, the plant is traditionally valued in the local food culture and widely integrated into daily life.
In conversations with local farmers, we learned about the traditional plant knowledge that describes moringa as part of a nature-oriented way of life – deeply connected with the respectful handling of the plant and its origin.
The leaves are carefully harvested, gently dried, and finely ground. This preserves their original plant structure in the best possible quality.
Moringa leaves naturally contain a variety of plant components, including:
- Vitamins A, C, and E
- Minerals such as potassium, calcium, and iron
- Secondary plant compounds such as polyphenols
- Plant protein components and fiber
These components are part of the natural plant matrix and vary depending on location, climate, and harvest time.
